Hey Davy, believe me I stopped trying to convince people I was fast or could ride well the moment I saw someone who really was fast and that didn't take long.
Now when I race I still feel like I did when I was 18 and sometimes forget what it will feel like at my age to hit the ground. Afterwards I think of the foolish risks I just took, but man there's nothing I know that will make you feel like a kid for at least a few minutes. I don't think our American RMs ever came with the mag hubs, but they obviously were available since the parts numbers for them are listed in the parts house's microfiche. I've come across a few, but most people won't sell them. I didn't know they had issues with the sprocket bolts.
Mexican - your guess is as good as mine on what they are worth. Is that to say you have one and you want to know what I'd pay for it? I hope that's the case. If so, let me know and I'll make you an offer or you can tell me what you want for it.
At any rate, you guys down under certainly have a robust vintage MX community and an abundance of old bikes and parts. Makes me kind of jealous.
Thanks for your replys.
