Trying to find a good '76 TT500 for sale

I am trying to find a good original '76 TT500 for sale and I am having no luck.(yep I have posted this in the wanted section but just in case nobody scrolls down) .anybody has one or know of somebody who wants to get rid of one, please let me know. Happy to pay good money for a prime example,Cheers :)

I've seen a couple on US ebay with a starting price of a couple hundred dollars with no reserve and passing in with no bids. Might be cheaper to import one. They don't seem to go as crazy over them as we do. I know this is an XT but still cheap

Thanks for that suggestion, yeah the US prices are way cheaper but importing is a hassle esp, given that the US '76 had no compliance plates etc. Cheers I'll just have to be patient.

I wasn't aware the TT had compliance plates. I thought it was only the XT that came with these.

there are heaps of registered TT's in SA. im not sure how many are done illegally but i think you could get them from yamaha pitmans with TY lighting kits and then get them registered. heaps of people rode them in reliability trails back when they were new and heaps had sidecars put on them but i think most were properly registered.

you realy should get in contact with the organisers of the tt/xt500 muster and get on the register. im sure they would know of some TT's fo sale over here. when i  went to it last yr there was a couple bikes for sale, but i cant remember what yrs they were.
