What a top shot.
Don't you love the riding gear and boots - looks like he pinched work clothes from a welding factory or an abattoirs.
Can just see Brad VanB in that gear too.

Yes awesome shot and he looks like he is straight out of the shed !!
I believe he is still up at the pointy end when he comes home (NZ) to ride ! Not bad for some one over 45  8)

I thought he was pretty average until the end of the days racing,when he got accustomed to the track, he was fantastic to watch racing up front with a few young lads at the WA 15th Anniversary in August 2010.more pics of Peter Ploen racing in WA on this link...

I remember when the RM370 first came out and Ivan Miller was still riding, those guys would really hammer.

yep quite so, I used to always be impressed by how much wider a natural terrain track could get as the day went on and the berms got further up the hill.  ;D

Ploen was impressive when he lived and raced in Qld '79/'80.. always up the front and giving the young locals heaps!
