Ariel VCH
« on: May 28, 2011, 02:52:32 pm »
Hi, just thought I would put some pictures of my father's VCH up. This is a 1949 model with all magnesium engine (crankcases, barrel and head). It was marketed as a trials/ scramble bike. No lights originally, these are all Ariel parts on the bike to get registration. I think this bike is very rare. There is a VCH engine in a road frame in the Nabiac museum.
Cheers, Grahame

No Mustangs Bazza, just a Capri. Hopefully in the future a 69 Mach 1.
What Red Hunter are you after?

Love the old Ariels  8). The VCH looks great.

An old friend who owned, rode and raced Pommy bikes post war reckoned the Ariel Red Hunter was the pick of the bunch for performance and reliability :).

When that Lotto win rolls around........... :D

Do you think old Ariels might come back into fashion?
