Early 250 barrels

Will a 1972 250 king scorpion barrel fit on earlier 250 4 speed cases. Any comment would be appreciated. Thanks.

They are the same barrel and cases, they just have different porting.

No they won't.  The King Scorpion uses the 5 speed cases which are wider
than the earlier 4 speed cases.  The stud spacing is different.
