Given an 18M roller sans tank, engine, pipe etc (thanks Jeff) on the condition I use it.I feel obligated to at least ask the question if anyone has the right Montesa 125 engine that they would part with before thoughts of a 4 stroke hybrid ala Hontesa start taking over.Otherwise what else would work here in this frame suggestions???

Yes that could work Dave.I would like to have a left sided gear change and right sided brake thereby reversing what the bike had, would a VR engine or something like that work? The rear brake is on the left side,so maybe use a re routed cable arrangement.

Check out my bike, left side gear change, but l will be changing it to the right side gear change. I could help you out with a right side brake set up.
VR engine would suit.

18M 125 wasn't a great engine. 250 would be much better. Nitram (on here) had such a bike at CD6 or 7.

Wheelbase is only 54" so it'd be a bit 'lively' w a VR engine, but that the best 250 engine to use.
