« on: December 08, 2010, 03:38:34 pm »
Does anybody have any details of companies that transport bikes from NZ to Australia?
Specificially to Melbourne.

Thanks,

Cheers,
Make sure you ask lots of questions. They tried to charge me twice. Make sure you ask for all of the costs. No hidden ones. Also make sure you get government approval BEFORE you send it. They take forever and if the bike gets here and documents aren't in order, the bike goes into storage. I made the mistake and it cost $1000 for three weeks storage. Don't make the first time errors I did. If you are too keen to get it, you will make mistakes that will cost you big time.

Thanks for the replies and the information.
It has taken 2 months to obtain the "Vehicle Import Approval" but I now have it.
I have heeded your advise, and have asked the freighters for ALL costs before committing to this freight company.

Good to here. Who did you use and how much did it all cost?
