RM / PE Swingarm??
« on: March 07, 2011, 06:11:40 pm »
OK just discovered my RM125T has a PE175 swingarm with the extra tabs cut off. So, is there a difference between the two.same bearings, pivot bolt, but dimension from pivot to lower shock bolt + pivot/rear axle hole...not sure. Can somebody get these measurements. Cheers.

PE swingarm has the quick release wheel. I dont think a RM wheel will fit a PE swingarm as the brak plate engages with the swingarm.
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

Kiwi,    same pivot and overall lengths, as per LWC post PE are wider at axle.

Quickest way to tell difference is ... adjuster plates .... PE are outside of shock mount and Rm are inside of.

Cheers. Its a PE alright. Runs RM rear wheel+brake torque arm so all good there. I take the wider at axle comes from the moving off adjuster plates, otherwise all the same. So would width at lower shock mounts be the same then?? Just making sure so dont waste time/money on it.

shock length on a RM 125 T is 16 1/4 "or around 416 mm
Rm    LHS to Rhs mounts   = 213 mm
PE     LHs to  Rhs mounts included welded washer = 221mm
