Sourcing those little Yamaha rubber mounts...
« on: February 01, 2008, 11:06:52 pm »
I'm talking about the ones that are ~20mm in diameter, with a steel sleeve down the guts and then a 6mm bolt goes through the sleeve. About 15mm tall.
Yamaha was clearly very fond of them, 'cause they're on everything: airboxes, auto-lube tanks, mudguards, instruments etc etc.

Because Yamaha was so fond of them, I now need a truck-load of 'em... I think I counted 24 for the DT1 alone. :o

So I'm looking for a cheap(ish) source, or even a close alternative.

TIA.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Those mounts rubbers and spacers, the air cleaner and others are different lengths longer ones for fender. Early models had a 2 piece rubber system.
Hope of some help.Scott

VMXPlastics, if you are the guy making your own plastics over in Oz then I take my hat off to you. I hear great things about your plastics, and if you are the same person that a friend of mine was talking about it is very high praise indeed. I would like one of your front number boards for my project bike, the Noguchi.
