With four stroke Evo and twinshock racers being featured in other threads, I thought I'd post this Wasco that a mate in California is considering selling. Over to Brian.........
Hi Mark, I hope this email finds you well, I picked this up from Bob a few months before he passed away, still cant believe it. It seems like yesterday that we were having one of our 2 hour conversations. I have decided to sell a few bikes and built my son a wild current Honda 250CRF for him to race. Bob was the second owner of this bike, the first got it directly from the designer/builder Richard Washer in Washington State who built mostly frames under the Wasco brand for flat-track racing using the XR500 Honda motor, but built 3 Motocross frames and swing-arms, this is number 3 and we have been told it is the only one still in existence. The craftsmanship on the frame is beautiful. All body work fits from a 1978/79 Honda CR250-front and rear fender, alloy gas tank, seat and side panels. This bike has a Clark plastic gas tank. Suspension is Fox Forxs in front with Fox triple clamps and handle bar mounts and Fox Air shocks in rear. Brakes are from an XR500 with magnesium brake plates front and rear. The custom alloy air-box is a beautiful piece and very cool and has a K&N filter is inside. Custom pipe wrapping around the left side and uses a SuperTrap muffler. The top end of the motor was just done, 20 over Weisco piston with all valves and cam checked and cleaned. It has been run about 5 minutes since the work was completed and is tight with no noises. It comes with a title from Washington State and two original Wasco gas tank stickers. Be the only one at the starting gate with an original Wasco Honda 500. It is for sale, I look forward to your thoughts, Best regards, Brian
Hi Mark, good to hear back from you, I tuned up the bike and had it detailed, but never got around to getting new bodywork, which is very easy to get through DC Plastics. I am asking $6K for it, and would love to see it go to a good home, regards, brian

Awsome be cool to have a one off bike.
Current bikes. KTM MC 250 77 Husky CR 360 77, Husky 82 420 Auto Bitsa XR 200 project. Dont need a pickle just need to ride my motorcickle

Great clean looker!! Noticed the worrying adjustments to the pipe over the shocker top mount may have been a track side afterthought  :D  "What's that flesh burning smell????"

Now that is a nice lookin jigger, apart from the hammer adjusted tail pipe. Somehow the frame looks like a modified 78 or 79 elsinore job to me. Good to see they went to the trouble of making an airbox for it too. Something that most modifiers overlook. I hate exposed pod filters! I had plans to do a similar bike but a zillion other things keep getting in the way. For now I think I'll just put my White Bros swingarm and CR front end on my XR and take it out for a play at HBBB. Should be interesting to find out how well it gets through the bush as the near stock 79 XR500 gets through suprisingly well.
