1980 RM 250 what are they like!!!

can some one tell me anything about the 1980 RM 250,,,any info would be great,,are they a good model,,,any hidden nastys....parts avalability........thanks.

I can tell you that new parts are actually very easy to get, Suzuki still stocks lots of parts for RM250T including all new plastics except for new tank and rear fender.
Anything that you cant get from your local Suzuki dealer is pretty easy to find on ebay or through Vintage Suzuki.
You can buy a new replica fuel tank from Clarks in the USA, very good quality repro item.
I have been pulling out my hair trying to locate a nos rear fender for the last six months....

the closest loooking rear fender ive seen is the one oldfart (Stewart) got from vintage plastics. i dont know the brand but its supposedly not a bright yellow vacume fromed one from DC plastics.

if your aiming for a concourse restoration, try and salvage as many of the original fasteners as you can becuase so many are nowsuperceeded to modern bolts/screws with different heads.
