Yeah that sucks that our bank charges a fee and then the recievers bank charges a fee. At my bank we are not allowed to do the International transfers our selves. It all gets done behind the counter.

After reading the wikiapedia link it looks like i have the details i need i hope, and the BSB is the first 6 digits and the rest of them are just his acc number. Thanks for those who offered help. The seller is going to ring his bank tomorrow also to make sure.

It's really just your banks trying to make more money seeing as unless the bank is kiwibank or tsb they're all owned & run out of oz >:(

I have received a few international funds over the years and they always had $15.00 missing. Customers always claimed to have sent the right money and the banks here couldn’t answer where it went.
Didn’t matter what country it came from.
It did go up to $18.00 a few years back, not sure what it is now.
I used to wear it as it would be taken from a frame kit price but then I once shipped some small parts and it took the bloody profit right out of the job.

Scaping a bit from the top of every international transaction is going to be my next business.

Paypal is so much easier, they take a bit more on larger amounts but at least you know where you stand.
