I could think of nothing better to have a rum with than a porcupine head on my YZ400E .

I can't remember seeing any type of aftermarket head for the big bores yzhilly. I posted this question on a popular US forum looking for a trick rm400 head but the answer simply came back..'there were none'  :-\

webco made them for 250 and 360 & 400 cc yamahas. T&M made them for 250's, DG made them for RM 500 and CR 480  and CR 250's plus theres more!. i initially thought there wasnt much in the way of heads for bikes over 175 but when i did more research i found out that wasnt true
but yes ive never seen on know of one for a RM 400

what year do you reckon they ceased producing  the factory heads...LWC3077 for the DG brand...

i dont know. ive got DG ads in magazines around 83/84 listing them for RM 500 and CR 480. if you want to know ask Scott at www.vintagefactory.com he will know. They must of made them for some time onwards as Firko said Vintage Iron in USA had a huge amount of them still in about 1990

I run 2 head gaskets on my FMF TM125 head, otherwise it pings its brains out, its the bling factor - no more!!

is that a FMF TM porcupine head Dave?? if so I am jealous even with the 2 head gaskets  8)
