'77 RM80 Warners Bay NSW to Brisbane or Gold Coast
« on: October 31, 2010, 08:07:05 am »
Can anyone help transport a little mini from Macho Mick's place at Warners Bay to Brisbane or the Goldy? Will pay beer/fuel money for any such assistance :) The bike is semi complete but no special treatment or cotton wool necessary as it's quite a roughy (as one would expect for the $26 purchase price...mmmm :-\..I must be bloody insane!)::) Cheers Doc

Thanks Luke I'll let you know more when I lay my eyes on it ;) I did bid initially wanting only a few parts but the longer I looked and the more I spoke to the seller the more I reckon it's worth saving. Apparently it did have a nice bottom end but alas with no barrel or head it rained then sat and the rest is history. It's quite sad but eh, even has the original steel seat base in useable condition..that is rare! :D
I know I'll be chasing a fuel tank if you spot anything, the little beast comes with an aluminium RM125A/B tank not the original but whos' complaining ;D

Mick, many many many thanks..Col seems like an okay bloke who carries big regrets about selling his RM465 for next to nothing a few years back :( think we've all done something like that in the past..gotta love hindsight ::)

Bump :P

If anybody is coming up to QLD/Nthrn NSW way over the Chrissy break I'm still trying to get a little 80 from Cooranbong/Morisset up to Brisbane or Gold Coast/Tweed. The bike can be dismantled for transport as it's a resto project and nothing flash. Willing to pay a decent fuel subsidy if anyone can help. Cheers
