Anybody got locally a Carlisle or goodyear 2 in a 19x 3.5 or 4 ? used would be good but might stretch to new, could do with 1 or more if you got em

i got 2 that have sat on the bikes for too long and cracked right around the walls, unless someone can tell me salastic or rubber can fix it, i dont think they are riddable,

Pity both had good tread and where well cut.

What about DT Maxxis ? do we bring them into Au in a Dirt track pattern, used speedway in a michilen soft would also be a goer , 19 is going to be the limiting factor .

also anyone got a cheap spare pair of wide bars like a 34' bend ? old rd's or tx style ?

and finally any one who can refabricate me a brake pedal $$ reasonable > its the simple champion stlye bend rod with a pivot hole in it, but i have no access to tools and the one on there is a shitter, happy to post it off if someone wants to make it from that as a template i think mr castro may have made this late one night in the back shed, or its a race day rebiuid i can only take so much patina  ;)

Freaky, if its a 19" wheel just use a speedway tyre.

Did ya actually read my post hoony ? id would prefer not to becasue of the shape, but its an open if the price is right, i tried to scam one out the pits at the gold trophy, but most of them had blown them out during the night.

Meh.   they are a little too tall really, the Carl and goodies are very wide and round, i really prefer one of them if there is some out there doing nothing, most mx bike cant run them cause the hit the swingarms and the forks, so no much good to most folk who are hawding them, and 19" would be the next nail for them.

I know where 2 are but ill keep this post alive till i flush him out, before i have to ask him - you know who you are big Guy :O)

I use a Carlilse on a 19" rim with a Yamaha hub on the front my Maico. It's been on these since the early 80's and still works fine.
I personally prefer a Michelin trials tyre on the back. I've tried everything from wet weather road racing slicks, to Carlilse and Goodyear dirt track tyres and speedway tyres over the last 38 years and the Michelin 2 ply trials tyre tops 'em all. The Dunlop K81 comes in a close second but I don't think you can get them any more.

Maxxis supposedly make good dirt track tyres, my mate Pete fitted them to his daughters green Astro and the reports are good.

Pics timbo and a price if its a dirt pattern ? PM me.

Yes Firko they are the go, better than a universal MX or trials, lots of chaps are doing the MIchilin competion soft trails and recon they hook up , some dropping big numbers on lops, apart from the cost, im kinda wanna keep the US fat front look going and that shape is hard to copy.  I KNow in the states MAxxis are used on most flatties now and i know we bring in the car tyres so i might have to hook into mcleods or whoever imports them and get the heads up, WHo did pete get his through do you know ?
