Riding High

Loved this scene of Eddie riding on the beach on the YZ400

I still think the first half hour or so of this film was briiliant - the scenes of Eddie riding the beach, the dunes, tearing around the industrial landscape and carving up the traffic on a YZ400 were real fodder for my imagination.

Also, here's Eddie on some sort of RM - not quite Crusty Demons but not bad for the time

I believe he was brain injured and has had a long road to recovery. I found his website last year and I believe he was making some sort of comeback. Not riding but speaking and appearing if I remember right.

Yes he was at Farleigh.. he's had a big brain injury and is in a wheelchair and bairly coherant or able to communicate. I found it very sad to look at him in this state but he had plenty of supporters surrounding him.
He went for a lap around the track on the back of a quad to huge applause from the crowd.

I remember the segment on 60 minutes. It was an up hill jump and he slammed into the landing but never fell off. He disappeared over the hill as if he was still riding it but he slammed his head into the tank/bars so hard he sustained a head injury from the landing which left him incapacitated.
