Wanted - Yamaha TT600 Motor
« on: September 14, 2010, 12:52:20 pm »
Hi from Johns:-

I am in need of a Yamaha TT600 motor for my currently road-registered TT600L.The poor old girl recently blew a gearbox, and in doing so, juncked the crankcases as well.

Hope someone may be of assistance.

Thank You - Johns.

Hi from Johns:-

Surely someone outhere has a Yamaha TT600 motor that they are willing to part with to keep my old girl on the road?

Cheers from Johns.

You are gonna find it hard because all us sidecar guys gobbled up all the motors and parts for those at wreckers years ago. Everyone who had TT600 outfit always found it hard to get engine parts. The stuff that was at wreckers didnt sit their for long. All the guys that do have stuff dont want to part with it as they know its hard to get and want to keep it as spares especially bottom ends. It was not uncommon to get phone calls at the last minute the night before an event from guys chasing stuff like gear box parts to get their motor going. I saw some engine stuff on ebay USA the other week, you would have a better chance of finding stuff there. I have even bought cases from USA and a clutch cover from UK.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
