From my experience any 80's 500 in VGC will sell for around $5000 to $6000. Not everyone has the time or inclination to do a good resto so thats why these sort of bikes always get snapped up. Personally I think its great value at 6K.
Looking fo a TZ750 anyone with any leads please PM

If you buy it for that price you know the value isn't going to drop alot of investors buy classic bikes and cars becuase it is a better investment than property and your not going to get less for it when you go to sell.

^ tell that to the people who maxed out their redraw facilities to buy GT HO Falcons for $500,000. Only to see their value fall like a stone to around half that.
That said..... I still think a YZ490 @ under $5k is good value, as long as it is ridden not hidden.

Cheers Greg..

Without being too harsh, anyone who thinks that wouldn't be good value at $6K has NFI.

If you can click on this steed for less than AUD$6.5K then I think you have a collectable piece of big bore Yamaha 2stroke muscle.  If the photos are correct,  it does look tidy...  It's unlikely to be bought for NZPre90,  because the FX rate is crap now.
