21" fron spoke pattern - KTM 250 1982
« on: August 31, 2010, 11:10:51 pm »
Hi All

I won't bore you with the details, but I now sit with the following:

a bunch of loose 2nd hand looking slightly bent spokes
a rim
no idea of the spoke pattern
    never spoked a rim before

Apparently it should be 2 on the inside, 7 on the outside or something like that ?

Anyone have any details - all help much appreciated.

    Trevor

Does yours look like this :

OR THIS : DOWNLOAD MANUAL and CHECK page 63
http://www.ktm495.mxbikes.com/Frame-KTM-1981-All.pdf

The manual shows you the orientation.

NOw confirmed as the Lelue hub, and requires the following:

Spoke sizes:
1)   237mm 80°
2)   237mm 95°
3)   225mm 80°
4)   225mm 95°

Do you maybe have a link for that 420GS chassis manual from the previous post ?

Best regards

Trevor
