Don't think it's a '74 if it's a 400, best check exactly what it is. '74 was a 450, the 400 came in '75 which puts it in the pre'78 class.

Did anyone see the 76 model KX 400 at Newcastle swapmeet. The bike was in mint condition $16k, there was another one with it for $3800.

Brought it to Lakes yesterday, dont know if i'd pay 16000 for it tho no matter how clean it is

As a previous owner of that bike in question in an untouched condition from new ie very used,i best remember it covered in oil/dirt from racing it around cameron park,barlie ranch dirt tracks .Bike certainly went well but didn't like to turn because of inertia,my purchase price of 400 with a new rear tyre is slightly down on the new resto price.Time changes many things besides my weight.
