honda cr250 1982 rebuild
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:06:19 pm »
started off with this old girl from cr kid,
stripped down to 523 pieces and rebuilt, pardon the dc plastic yes i know

busted plate 30 c oats of spray paint preserved the bike,i made a new plate, fastened with honda rivets
all the hardware double plated, new bushes bearings, piston[still had original bore]
gasketsbrakes tyres, left the wheels maybe later, until then there original and hardly chipped
pretty well as tight as a new bike, luckily the shocks had been rebuilt so i just serviced them

assembled

Nice job
Gear lever looks a bit low though.
I had one of these in late 82, nice bike but the 83's always seemed so much better, (i'm sure it wasn't the riders ;D)

Good stuff retro. I am a keen Honda owner and the 85 cr500 is a special bike for me.
Great work on the 82. The 125 in that year was my first Honda race bike.

Yep nice job and good usable bike. Everyone rushes out and grabs a 500 these days but unless you have Liesk on the end of your name you will probably ride a 250 faster.

I like the early 80s CR250 power,  my 250 RB has great midrange.
