Thanks Alison,
I will be thinking of hoppy and looking forward to reading his words back on the forum soon.

If MQ does not respond by end of week about the trail ride I will be contacting MA.

Thanks for that firko it really helps.
I hope your surgery goes well.
Tell them not to cut off your foot we all want to see you back on the track.
I hope you are keeping your stress levels down as heart attack is the biggest killer after surgery.
Just keep thinking happy thoughts.
They say the mind remembers everything while out to it on the cutting table. You know all that hacking with the knife and sawing with the bone saw.
Just think the day after your surgery the phisio guy will have you up and walking bending that old foot back and forward.
Just keep remebering its for your own good while the pain swells.
You should be off the morphine before you know it. Ji
Jeez Ji, you sure know a bit about pre op psychology! Unfortunately, bending my old foot back and forth is just the thing the operation is going to prevent. I'm having the ankle fused into the one, solid position*. No more tap dancing, tightrope walking and sadly, my plan to accompany Shoey on his next Everest climb might have to be cancelled as well. Sorry Rob, I know the team was depending on me. :'(

*Tomorrows little op is the first of three planned. This one is to clear some of the floaties out of there and to stick the camera in there to see what is the better option for operations 2&3. The surgeon is apparently one of very few in the world that does ankle replacements so there's still a (very) slim chance of a replacement rather than a total fusion.

Just make sure your surgeon doesn't have a weird sense of humour. You wouldn't want to wake up and find that you have to walk on tippie toes for all time…  ;)

And Ji,
I think a "Psychology for dummies" thread should be in your future plans.  :D
When a woman says "What?", it's not because she didn't hear you, she's giving you the chance to chance to change what you said.

That sounds great.
I heard a statistic during the gun buy back which has always stuck.
In that year there was 13 firearm related deaths.
No wonder they took the guns off everyone.
In the same year 50 people died from mistakes in our hospitals.

But again don't worry Petal (Doctor Death) is locked up and there couldn't be two of them.

The big thing about surgery is not to have a raised blood pressure, very bad for you. Clots are no good either, they can travel to the brain and cause strokes.

Any way good luck I am sure you don't need it.

I was thinking about Knee and Ankle Surgery for Dummies.
I have already purchased the meat and the bone saw.
The bone saw is S/S

I`ve got this gut feeling that Ji is actually a surgeon, just think about it he knows a lot about Ti and post operation complications.

If i was you Firko i would be worried, i reckon if Ji does your operation you will be coming home with 2 left feet just to piss you off.  :)

Ha :) Ha :) Ha :) Funniest thing I have ever read. Next time I have a prang gotta ring Ji.
Cheer me up no end. ;)
Got a mate who woke up with his foot on sideways. Doctor said that he was a fool
and that there was no problem. This happened at Bundaberg. :o

Went to another doctor in Bris who rebroke his knee and put it on straight. :)
Knee knackered but foot points where it,s supposed to now. :)
