I've got a pair on my Maico that've been there for over 20 years. All I've done is add a bolt on cross bar from a cheap pair of hollow alloys. I've picked up 5 or 6 pairs at swapmeets over the years and will put a pair on my Benelli tracker next.. They're unbreakable.
