Bell helmet re-release.
« on: April 16, 2010, 06:15:39 pm »
I see Bell have re-introduced that old open-face fave from back in the day, the RT.
Now called a Jet RT; anyone know if it's up to Aussie compliance standards?

Pg 249 in MoMS reveals that the equivalent to the Aussie 1698 standard is : DOT Federal standard no 218 / Snell M95,M2000, M2005. The label is affixed inside the helmet. So check the ads, if they have these numbers, you're in !  ;)

Thanks for that but so far I've only seen them in a 'classic road bike' type magazine.
I remember when Bell was THE name in bike helmets but I'm struggling to find a local (SE Qld) Supplier anywhere.
