I don't know what class he won but the Pro class and Outright was won by Aussie Josh Strang who's won the first 3 rounds.

Good for Josh, his old man Vince is a tough moto guy still going strong. Wattsy is insane, really messed with the Yanks head.

One of the story I love is he went in a Grand National with a badly worn rear tyre and still was fastest 8). And many many others. Ya right, he mucked with their heads - broke all the rules about going fast - except for one, just dial it up, hang it our and do it. Did I mention talent and concentration. And determination ;).

"thus he spent most of Saturday night driving the 10 hours back home, with the race then a further one hour drive from there. The lack of sleep was not going to deny him the victory though."

Yeah, I wondered that, particularly when the TSM article says:
Quote
Former World Enduro and US GNCC Pro Champion Shane Watts scored a sensational Overall victory, riding his KTM 200XCW in the hotly contested morning race at Round 3 of the 2010 GNCC series, held in perfect conditions near Morganton, NC on March 21.

Looking at this:
http://www.racer-results.net/results/gncc/2010/class_list.asp?r=3

Watts won the morning (and is a "Sportsman"), Strang won the afternoon (as a "Pro") - and while they both did five laps, Strang would have only just finished in the top 30 of the morning race - so obviously the run different courses.

Also, I find it funny that Watts is doing the whole "thank your sponsor" thing, and generally not sounding like the old Shane Watts.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I'll never forget his ride in the final day motocross at the Taralgon 6 day where he blitzed 'em all on a 125.
