aesthetical/ethical dilema
« on: December 03, 2007, 09:07:26 pm »
I would be interested on the members comments,
I bought a Mk 11 bultaco frontera about 15 years ago. the bike was stuffed, but never mind. In a rush of enthusiasm rebored and re jetting to factory specs.
Fast forward to 2007 (things take time in the country) some good advice from Mark Austin, cdi ignition sourced(Bultaco Parts Vic)and also suspension (YSS).
Now as Basil Faulty said, "piece of cake, now the tricky bit".
To be honest, the original blue colour has never excited me (Mark your resto job looks great), but I wonder what those Spanish paint guys were thinking, especially on the frame!
Yes I had a 74 Alpina and the blue was not so far removed, but my gut is telling me go silver and red, maybee everytime I look at a 72 Matadore I reflect my preferences.
But what do you reckon, preserve or conserve?

Go with your heart but keep it 'period'.
