Having added in the later style extra mounting lug onto all of the clutch cases I make. I've been thinking of a way to utilise it on the earlier engines that don't have the the provision to use this extra mounting hole.
I've come up with a solution, I've made a aluminium bracket that bolts onto the earlier engine cases and then has a hole drilled and tapped into it so the extra mounting lug can be used.
Here are a few pics of the bracket fitted in development:

For anyone that has one of my mk2 cases or someone who has a later case fitted to an earlier bike this would be a great addition, especially if you have a 500
These cnc'd brackets are available over at hva-factory
http://hva-factory.com/clutch-cover-bracket-p-131.htmlThe kit is available at hva-factory for £19.99 (roughly $31)
Having said that though, they can be done yourself
If your handy with that sort of thing then it's easy enough to make up some sort of bracket, although obviously not everyone has access to a cnc mill to get tapers and dimensions perfect etc.
I recommend using a good grade of aluminium, some decent drill bits, a drill bush and some decent taps.
Any questions or advice please ask!
