Villiers 150cc engine.

I've been offered a villiers 150cc complete with gear box. I beleive it will be a 'free to a loving home' arrangement. Haven't seen it and haven't a clue to the details. It is probably not a dirt bike engine but could be, I don't know. Probably a '50's pommy commuter.

Those engines were used a lot in James  and are an alternative to the bantam BSA. about the same performance

MX mate....I'd be interested in that motor if you've still got it. I'd like to use it in a twin shock trials bike using my basket case Cotton frame. I reckon it deserves a fate better than in a bloody cart. PM me if you want to cut the deal.

I had one in for a pipe a while back, it was in a Francis Barnett trials bike. I know a couple of guys that run them in Classic Trials.
They were mostly 3 speeds I think, the really "trick" ones were 4 speed!

Seen one used used a boot scraper outside a pig pen, was actually well crafted and made also remember it did smell somewhat..... I have a lightened brass flywheel of a ""kart'" somewhere to suit village idiot 150. Cheers Tim

Nah, just joshing . By a convoluted chain of friends and circumstances it end up as another project for Firko. I think he has plans for a mid '60's Pommy trials bike playing mix and match with a frame he already has. If you have a more pressing need for it talk to him.
