Suzuki RM125 X 81 partly restored
« on: January 22, 2010, 09:05:00 pm »
Im selling my rm125x which is in pieces.

MISSING PARTS
chain guide
chain
all plastics (i have the tank)
air filters

THE ENGINE NEEDS
piston kit
cylinder bore is 54.5mm(i think, can re-measure) needs to be bored.
main bearings 6205 c3 and 63/22 from bearing shop is cheaper.
asssembly

THE ENGINE HAS
a rebuilt crank with new bearing, thrust washers and crank pin.
main seals
paint stripped from barrell and head, cleaned up with aluminium brightener.
the carby stripped right down and cleaned up.

THE ELECTRICS
has all electrics besides killswitch
has 2 CDI units (both 82-88 plastic, all interchangeable)

THE FRAME
has been cleaned up and painted(properly, not from a spray can!!!)
also painted is the footpegs, full floater steel linkage, radiator which has a twist but doesnt leak, handlebars, gear lever.
the forks have been cleaned up with wet and dry but need going over once more with 800 - 1000 before polishing. was going to replace the seals
the swingarm was sanded then wet and dry and polished as it was ugly and scratched, TOOK ALOT OF WORK. needs a small weld on one of the bearing eyes as it is cracked through, needs bearings and seals, seals 20 x 27 x 5, bearings 20 x 27 x 20, from bearing supplier
the shock i havnt touched yet, was just going to pull the spring off, change the oil and get it gassed.
the tank has been partly stripped back with wet and dry needs more work but will come up nice.

i also have a workshop manual.
