You could be right Dot.I don't know much about these models,I am into DTs and ITs.
He said it was a 1975 B model.Quite sure he said it was a YZ.
If he didn't,then I've misheard what he had said.Apologies if I've mis-represented the bike.

                                               Cheers,Mark.

It could be a very sad C model but I think I think it's a C model tank on something of dubious parentage, It has a auto lube cover on the engine, My memeroy is bad and I have owed one of these but I'm sure they didnt have auto lube. I also think they had box section swingarm. The standard pipe was in 3 sections.

That looks like a bitsa.. definately the wrong swingarm, more like half DT than YZ.

DT wheels front and rear (steel rims, non-conical front hub, steel brake arm on the rear);
YZ250C tank and swing-arm.
Wrong pipe.
DT-B+ or MX-A engine (although the lack of cut-away fins on the head suggest that the head/barrel may be MX-B or YZ-C items).
Forks look like MX-B/YZ-B/YZ125C items - its hard to say for sure, but there appears to be the waisted section between the triples.

My guess is that is a heavily bastardised YZ-C.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

It's an IT400C frame.  (bashplate and unused 2nd muffler mounting point)

Forks could possibly be IT-C too, but can't quite tell.

Nothing else matches though.
