Jack Pengally raced a replica made up by Stackers back in the mid 70s and I believe Stacker still has it up the back of the shed. A bloke named Terry Something or Other raced a genuine Kramer around the Sydney/Hunter area back in '73/4. He was an American who had been living and racing in Germany with his Military parents.  He skipped to Australia with his Kramer 400 and a really trick Wheelsmith equipped 250 to avoid the draft and the Vietnam war, ironically financed by his USAF officer dad.
He was a pretty cool blonde headed, stompy wompy California surfer type who got more nookie than Frank Sinatra during his year or so here. The Kramer was a trick piece of kit with the Bilstien shocks made for a race car instead of the original Konis. He was also the first bloke I saw with nylon race pants and those perforated jerseys. Very Hip. The whole flaw in the deal was that he couldn't ride for shit. He talked a good race and looked like Gaylon Mosier, the coolest man ever to race motocross. He went back to the USA after a year here, never to be seen or heard of again. My mate Hughesie tried to buy the bike but there was some sort of carnet on it as it had come in on a Starlifter or B52 through Williamstown Airforce base and had to leave the country with its owner.

Old timers who raced at Sugarloaf, Curoo and Jilliby might know more info on Terry and his bikes.
