I would be extremely weary of these figures. The internet is infamous for people publishing some extremely dodgy statistics to make an argument. Assume nothing. Remember the corollary of 'If it sounds too good to be true....' is  'If it sound too extreme to be true, it probably isn't' ;) ::).

The data needs to be checked before anyone gets too hot under the collar ;D.

True dat Firko. Always curls me up when I see some chinese looking bloke who sounds as Aussie as the rest of you.

On the other hand, it gets my goat that I pay chunks of tax, don't get medicare, don't get free schooling for the kids etc just 'cause I'm on a 457  >:(

Well the bloke waiting at the bus stop with the ipod on and the schoolgirl texting away on her mobile seem to be going OK................   ::)

Beware the YELLA TERRA, oogiddy boogiddy, the more things change the more they stay the same.
As said before, I remember my father not liking the Italians & Greeks, I had to take a reality check recently when my 16 yo daughter came home with a Korean boyfriend, living in Strathfield it was a pretty good chance but he's a good kid and I'm okay with that.
I would like to think that those originally stated figures are wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
I'm reaching 50 next year and have been in full time employment all my life and the last 18 years self employed, like a lot of others I probably haven't made the best financial decisions but hope that if I need it the pension will be there.
