motoplat on early engine.

I've owned Maicos for most of my life but I've never fitted a late motoplat from a Magnum to an early engine. Does anyone know what's involved and if the crank tapers match? I'm considering it for the trick squarie 250 I'm building for the Maico/Metisse.

Ta Stu...I've actually just been out the shed dummying it up on the 400 squarie engine on the bench. You're right, it''ll be a pretty easy swap by the look of it. I wonder why more punters haven't done it? It's a lot cheaper than a PVL! This particulat ignition cost me $25 and the bloke chucked in a '73 swingarm and a set of triple clamps for nothing!
