Finally......
« on: November 19, 2009, 12:58:44 PM »
....... a modern I can see myself buying 8).

"Nearly identical to the CB1100 concept from 2007, it represents a return to an era when well-engineered, high-spec bikes like the CB750 were designed to do everything rather than a single specific task. It should also make an excellent basis for customization, as proven by the Honda CB1100 Customize concept pictured above in red."

No offence but the Japanese motorcycle industry has lost its way and its R&D budget and is recycling old UJM formats. How does this bike differ from the XJR1300, Honda big one and all the other UJMs that are not imported into Aussie because we would rather buy Harleys.

There were some important engineering advances made in the 80's and some very ugly looking road bikes. Is Honda trying to make amends? The motor in this bike, to me,  reflects more of Honda's Bol d'or era than the 750/4 era. I'm sure that there will be many customs from this modern, but it just isn't my style.

Marc if you substituted say CT110 for Harley in your last sentence I'd kinda be on your wave lenght. Pretty much equivilent tecnology I reckon at a much more realistic price. And CT110 mounted you can wear whatever dam shape and colour helmet you like.

Not the classic SOHC 750 K series I was thinking of. Just remakes of the boring as bat shit follow ups to the 754s. Come on Honda you have lots of bikes to choose from but the bland DOHC early eighties lumps? At least look at Suzuki's KATANAs of the era !!!The bosses at Suzi must have been on some wild pickled gherkins the day they approved those classic/radical lookers.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
