first off - great site lots of info , glad i found it . jets - do the large round jets meter the same as the large hex - size for size ?

Not at all they are a size jet not flow rated, as well there is 2 different types of round flat Mikuni jets the difference is one has a 5 X 0.75mm thread and the other a 6 X 0.75mm thread.

There is a third round type Mikuni jet these have a 6 X 1.1mm thread only they look to be flow rated.

  um     thanks . i got a vm34 , but it has the n100 large round ,not the 4/042 large hex . was gunna jet it to mx250 spec, with the round jet- if it flows the same . if they don't anyone know what the difference between the two are ?

what's your jet sizes? I'm just pulling my 34mm Mikuni apart to find the reason for running rich.

Hey Felix, i have hears that the choke can be not turning off properly, could chase your tail for a while lookin for that..
I have a soft spot japanese mxers with aluminium tanks. Two stroke classic Dirt Track...
