Anyone got any good pics of a 1978 YZ250 E ?   I've got one to rebuild and I can't find any decent pics on the web, they're all US ,yellow versions.

Thanks '87, the first thing I need to know is the part numbers for the stator and rotor ..........can't seem to get the stator around far enough to time it properly,it may have the wrong setup on it.

Stator assembly will have 2K7 stamped on the lower coils holder and the stator will have, from memory, M100-24 on it.

Part numbers are 2K7-85566-10-00 COIL, CHARGE 1      460 ohm +/- 10%
                        2K7-85567-10-00 COIL, CHARGE 2    1400 ohm +/- 10%
                        2K7-85510-10-00 STATOR ASSEMBLY
                        2K7-85550-10-00 ROTOR ASSEMBLY

I'll take a pic of mine if it is clear enough.

Set static timing by the marks at 1.7mm BTDC
