« on: September 28, 2009, 09:39:27 am »
i have just been looking through old posts trying to find some discussion i saw previously on cooking a new piston in the oven to 'normalise' it prior to having the bore done to suit. can somebody give me details of that process please or direct me to that old thread? cheers wally.

Put in oven @ 200 deg C for an hour, turn oven off and let cool slowly. If you have a modern forged/machined or a OEM style cast piston it's a waste of time. However a old Wiseco in a blue box it's a must
