xl185 aftermarket exhaust pipe

i'm after a pipe for my wifes xl185s.i need to do away with the middle part of the muffler that goes behind right sidecover so it needs to be pretty much pipe right through to rear muffler.does anyone have something like this?

Hmmmm, do you want aftermarket high performance or aftermarket OEM replacement? Musket in NZ would do a replacemt header pipe. i will have a look, because i think TK pipes (australian brand) may do something aftermarket for the 185


yes just checked and TK pipes do a aftermarket performance ADR sport muffler for 79 onwards XL 185's. slips onto standard header and would eliminate any mid section muffler box if there is one. DEP pipes in UK may also do a muffler too, not sure though. and i am pretty sure Musket do a replacement header.

also try powroll in USA too.

also Supertrap, White brothers and FMF do universal four stroke mufflers you could use.

thanks for the reply,don't want anything too fancy,not really after performance just a oem replacement that does away with the middle muffler and doesn't weigh heaps like the original.i put a xr200 tank on it and in doing this ad to put coil and cdi behind airbox underneath seat so can't fit middle muffler in anymore.i will be interested in what you can come up with.these bikes have been around pretty much unchanged for years and the rear muffler always burns out so so i was hoping there were some local replacement pipes that members may have stashed away.this project is the wifes xmas present,any "performance" buys will go to my pe400!thanks again.

G'day TC120 if I had your pipe problem I would ring around the car exhaust repair shops our local shop does repairs on bikes all the time an there cheap to.jimson
