Restoring old MX leathers?
« on: July 11, 2009, 08:01:19 pm »
Pulled out the old MX leathers from my early racing days (late 70's/80's) and suprisingly they still fit!
Only problem is they have a fair bit of mould on them as they were stuffed at the back of the cupboard for nearl 20 years.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to remove the mould and restore the leathers to how they looked in thier glory days?

They're mainly black with the thick yellow stripe down the side with "Yamaha" running down both sides of the legs.

I dont want them to look like new, just want them to last another 30 + years.

Sorry guys,
Just found some good info in the Tech Talk section on restoring MX leathers.
I'll give these suggestions a try.  ::)
