Kawasaki 900
« on: July 03, 2009, 07:31:48 pm »
I realise this is a bit off topic but what the f*#k. A mate is selling his sweet Z900 Kawasaki to finance another project.
Here's the email he sent along with the photos.....If interested, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the owner.
Well I have just located a very nice replacement for my aging Z900 and have
decided its time to sell, if you know of anyone interested in a 1976 Z900
Kawasaki with around 56000kms and rego till March 2010 please let me know. I
would like around $9000 but that would be negotiable to the right person.
The bike does come with some spares such as timing covers, a spare bikini
fairing and a bunch of other stuff.

Looks fairly much original and un-tinkered with, nice to see a brown one for a change as well. :)

Quicky, I rang the owner, Rob and he tells me the original pipes went years ago. Other than that it's a totally unmolested, unrestored original bike and I reckon restoring it would ruin it. Rob's selling it to finance a pristine '99 Hayabusa, the unrestricted model.

Thanks Firko.

I have a contact with a lot of NOS Kawa 900 parts. I will see if he can be convinced to part with an original set pipes. Very fond of your mates Z9 and would love to add it to my collection.

$5500  :o They would want to be 30 year old NOS for that, even then they'd be expensive.

I paid $2400 for Kawasaki pipes ....maybe 3 years ago though, Sydney City Motorcycles-Kawasaki. I think if you look about you'll still find 'em for around that price.
At the time Z-Power were $3000. Only difference with the current genuine pipes is they are lighter and no longer have the little cover ring between header/silencer that they did 30 years ago...just a silver frost paint ring. ???

Yes please mate. PM those details. These pipes are genuine NOS items. Not reproduction stuff
