Ah yes, the ole Z1!
Hasn't this been up (on Ebay) a few times now? Be interesting to see it close up
The reserve is probably set too high anyway.

I met this guy once years back whilst scrounging for some parts for a resto, turns out, amongst other things, he also collected lawnmowers. He must of had dozens of them of all vintages, stacked up in the back yard. Ironically, the grass in the backyard yard was so high, you couldn't tell what was in there. I always thought that was strange.

every bloody town has a 'hoarder' or two .... you can generally spot em...as they are the only ones who don't have a bike that runs.

I read an interesting defintition, collector is someone who keeps things for his own joy, hoarder is someone who keeps things to deprive other people joy. If you have or can afford a lot of good bikes thats cool, but keeping a pile of bikes rotting in a damp shed until you die isn't/

Since I,ve been working at  Orange I got to meet a bloke who has about 70 dirt bikes from the 60.s 70,s and 80,s era. He was right into the vmx scene for many years ,but now for whatever reason has very little to do with it...He made me a complete seat for my mk11 frontera ,and as far as I know is about the only guy on the planet who can do so.  ..His collection just sits in his big shed covered in dust, amazing really.  Some people call him a hoarder, though he did part with a 1978 125cc cr husky ex race bike in good original condition for a good cheap price, "maybe he needed some quick cash," and my mate who bought it was one happy camper.'   I,m sure a lot of you know who I,m talking about..I,ve met with him a few times now, out at his large property and he has always been helpfull and friendly and is a bundle of Knowledge when it comes to Bultaco,s.

Mark fx. Pointed out a very sad truth about bikes rotting away in sheds;but it is comforting to be surounded by your successes and failures. However, collections are usualy inherited by people who dont have the same zeal as the person who originaly collected it.
what ! Who me ? Nah
