Of the looking through type I mean.

I've seen ads in US mags for an insert that sits in your goggles and is ground or moulded to match your prescription. Anyone tried them?

I wear glasses and find if they move, my focus changes and the lenses are being scratched by dust in the foam of my goggles. I'm currently using OAKLEY (I think) "O" Frame goggles with the cutouts in the foam for the glasses arms. They are a big improvement on anything else I've tried but still a pain.

Wearing glasses is crap in dusty conditions. I don't mind wearing glasses, it's the hairy palms I don't like. ;D

Going to try the contact lenses this weekend.
nothing worse than sitting on the start line with hand full of throttle and trying to hold goggles up to get air............ :P.

I tried contacts, work well in a Completely Dust Free Environment!  Otherwise, they will be blinked out.  The only solution I have found is a pair of lightweight frames, plastic lenses, and a loop of elastic around your head to hold them firmly in place.  And a good pair of goggles with some form of ventilation.

Found Scotts are the best ,but still not enough ventilation happening on the start line.
Need a little fan,but don't like the idea of blades too close to the eye ball  ;D
We have had rain so it may not end up being a good test run this weekend.

I tried glasses for a while but I often found I would wear them close to my face so that they were a snug fit, and that would make them fog easily when worn under goggles.  The go would be to adjust the nose bridge so they sit off your face a bit more.

I now wear disposable contacts and swear by them.  I've never lost one in the last 10 years of riding but, it's easy to forget they are there and then rub them up around your eyeball!  Basically, you need to ride with a spare pair of contacts so that you at least have some saline.

ps - I always wanted to try a pair of those Scott's with the little fan in them - thought they were way cool.

Technology is pretty amazing now days, could not see to far ahead with contacts ,not that it matters as a passenger on a sidecar. :P
Back to the eye Doc and got some reformed contacts-----Life's Good.
No stuffn around with glass while racing   :)

Hello Guys,

I work in safety and you can get googles to go over glasses or if you want to spend the money bolle do a prescription set, which are setup by a company here in melbourne. For guys who need them to do there jobs!!

I'm using a Simpson GS3 helmet (for mx) and for me it beats the over the glasses Scotts.
