Bearings and bushes
« on: October 22, 2007, 06:47:40 am »
Are there aftermarket suppliers for the odd sized spherical bearings found in '85 KX rear suspension link rod?

Also having no luck finding the lower fat "DU" type bush in 43mm Kayaba forks.
Top bush under seal is avail from local bearing shop but the lower bush has coating on outside and bike shop wants $90+ each in NZ  :-\

I just bought some bronze bushes for my MX swingarm , they are for RD350's , I have been informed that they fit, but just in case they don't I have some OEM on stand by (I will measure and compare the two when they arrive). Oh, I got them from HVC cycle on ebay.

The plastic yammie ones are worth $20 each, the HVC ones cost $54.50US (~$60AU) landed (by airmail it took 10 days)
"quality costs more" as they say. I have a NOS inner bush and it is a nice smooth fit in the bronze bush with a little grease added, I dare say I won't have any wobble issues with the swingarm again.
