Hey Jimson what did you do with the standard tank and the headlight and other road gear ? ;) Cheers Tim
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

the seat kinda looks okay Jimson :-\ what sort of seat did you get? I'd reckon an RM or PE seat would be the go but it means ditching the oil res for a smaller item or relocating it slightly inwards and lower as the seat would not pivot. The oil tank on the TS models really does stick out past the frame and makes it hard to get the slim lines and seat to suit unless it's moved or replaced. A pod filter will free up some space and free up some revs too ;)

G'day Doc I've already put a smallere oil tank on it sits between the frame rails and looks good if you look back at one of the photo's you can see it set up. the seat I scored is a yamaha mx 80 seat I think it kinda fits in with the small tank. jimson

Tim I'll keep the headlight maybe vinduro later on and the tank I'll keep as well but I have another with a flip top lid. jimson

don't get an early PE (B/C/N) seat - they had a steel base. T model onward had the plastic base and the lifted underside at the rear. Also, the PE seat was bigger than an RM, so you may want to seek out an RM one, depending on fit.

Luke a PE seat is infact shorter than an RM seat and the width is very similar. I have both here and also the PE C/N model seat I have is plastic based. I would double check the fit of the T or later seat as that kick up at the back doesn't really suit the 185 lines or frame. I'll get both out after work and take a picture but I feel either would work ;)

I may have around the wrong way as to which was longer. But I know they were different! The PE seat is circa 24 wide at the back, 14 wide at the front (it flares to maybe 16 at the bottom front) and about 48 long and 10 or 11 high. The PE C / N seat base was never, ever plastic  ;D

you're more than likely right Luke, I pulled out the seat that was sold to me as a PE item and low and behold it is infact an RM seat that's just got a little extra width about it. This is great news for me as I have a use for this item straight up when I was scratching my head trying to think where I'd get one ;D I never really double checked and assumed it was PE as sold to me so there ya go, my apologies ;)

You nearly had me there Chris. I know it's all getting a bit vague and forgetful as the hair thins to vanishing and it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that  I am completely gaga! Happily, I probably won't know  ;D
