Help! Info for CD6 needed.
« on: May 16, 2009, 02:53:38 PM »
Ok,there are probably other threads in here on this topic, but have few naive?,questions.
Can I race my 1984 IT490?All lights except the front have been removed, the stand and other stuff that make it road complianced have been removed as well.
Do you rock up on the day and register or is pre-registration required?
What facilities are available?
Whom do I contact for more info?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Mark.

I used to drink a lot.
I still do,but I used to,too.

Don't think there is any racing -just bench racing and good times..anything pre85-so your in ;D
Go to VMX Magazine main website page and it'll be in there.
or you can click on General Business on this forum and have a look in there too, threads on who's going & what are you taking etc
Facilities-everything to eat/camp/toilets etc-maybe bypass the old vmx street drinking scene that may be going on ,cause they may mix a strange drink for ya.
They call them selves Kamp Klever or something  ;)   :D   ;D
cheers

Husk, your 84 IT is perfect. Have front and rear lights and you can ride the Vinduro track AND the MX track. No pre registration, just turn up, sign on and pay and away you go. Plenty of facilities - toilets, showers, fresh food, a band etc in the evening, camping, etc. Get all the info from the VMX Magazine website at http://www.vmxmag.com.au/03_news_events/vmx_news_events.html

Thanks VMX,Wasp, and Graeme for the feedback and pointing me in the right direction.
One more question though, coming from the south and knowing that the Gateway Bridge and the roadworks going on along the Bruce Hway will be chaotic over the long weekend would it better to get to Conondale going up the Brisbane Valley Way and coming back along the D'Aguilar towards Kalangara? Or just get in the zone and follow everyone else towards Caboolture and get on the D' Aguilar there?
I used to drink a lot.
I still do,but I used to,too.

If your planning on comming up the Gateway road between 6am and 8am South side FRIDAY  forget it ( it's a carpark )      going thru city is just as bad .
For me I am planning  to be on the northside ( Nudgee ) by 6am
