Kawasaki G5 exhaust pipe wanted
« on: April 04, 2009, 06:51:40 am »
Would anyone per chance have for sale any model kawa 100cc up pipe that may fit an early G5 100cc Kawasaki trailbike? I've just purchased a '73 G5 near identical to the pic below (a mini F11 8)) but it's lacking this somewhat important item. Cheers Doc

oh, and a sprocket carrier for the rear wheel, it's missing also but I feel I may have one of these so not as critical ;)

late edit, chasing the rhs plastic sidecover also, seems the more I look the more I find..or don't find in this instance ::)

KE100 is the same bike "Doc ";) sold for many more years unchanged. Love the G5 100cc ducktail , consider it the first true full sized bike I owned. (not counting stripped down old dungers and mini bikes/cycles) Always on the look out for one too. As an aside, at the time I got the Yellow G5 I was still a youngish teenager growing up in Eltham Victoria. Guess who ripped the standard pipe off and had the Gear Brothers at EDC (Eltham Dirt Cycles) fit up one of there fat and um somewhat    ugly    hand made chambers. Tim754

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Thanks Tim, handy information as I kind of lose the plot a little with the kawa designations. I worked for them once and it still confuses me no end unlike Honda or Suzuki :D I have a pic of the actual bike I purchased and she's rough but I'll wait till I get it home to decide if it will be a 'budget resto' or a G31M styled replica racer 8) A chamber is probably on the cards either way but a stock pipe will get me outa da shite for now. I do like how it looks like a mini F11 with the ducktail but then I love the dated look of the G31M more ::)

KV100 or Agi 100 Kwakas have very similar pipes and heat shields *,  Much easier to find ;) Actually lots of parts are the same...
* you gotta put the bent dick tail pipe piece on :)
