'73 Maico frame

I am looking for a '73 Maico frame . Doesn't really matter if the back end has been modified for different top shock mounting position, or if the motor mounts have been cut or broken . Just as long as it is still repairable .

Frames for sale.....I've got a 1973 MC440 Maico frame and swingarm, a 1978 Montesa VB360 and a 1977 VB360 ...good solid frames, but each have some minor issues....$50 each...I can bring to SoCal races to save shipping...e-mail me for pics...

No , not a fourstroke , but not a Maico motor either  . I have an MJ Husky frame that I was thinking of sticking a '74 Honda 250 fourstroke motor into one day , as it seems to have plenty of room & a nice deep cradle . The frame(s) from California sound interesting , so I might have to make some enquiries about shipping costs .

I had a maico frame with a honda 4 stroke in it and rode it at the  vintage national and got third overall in the over 40, the bike was a flyer,  Rob Jolly from New Zealand has a 73 maico with a 250 honda engine  and it looks and go`s very well,

OK . One last try for anyone who has a '72,'73 or '74 Maico frame (modified or not) that they might want to sell . We are about to head off on another epic roadtrip from North Queensland down to Victoria, to go to the Broadford bike bonanza & I am keen to line up a pre '75 Maico frame for a project . I have found this search for a Maico frame very frustrating , as I have come across quite a few guys that have these frames, that either don't ride or don't have a plan for them , but don't want to sell them either  . Maybe they want to take them to the grave with them .

Yes , but in the USA '73 Maico frames seem to be cheap as chips, as shown by the frame in California (on Mark's Vintage Swapmeet ), in the post above . I was too slow to act on that one , but getting one out of the US may be the way to go . But the time I have to wait, will stuff up the window of opportunity that I have at the moment  to get the project happening. I would happily pay more than $1000 for a '74 roller.
