I am 5'6(167cm) with a 69cm inseam. I am building an HL replica out of a Husky frame. My question is to get the bike height down to where I can at least get two tippy-toes on the ground and keep 9" (22.9cm)of travel at both ends would it be possible to cut and lower the subframe where it meets the backbone a bit ala' 79 YZ250? The dip in the middle is what made that bike look sweet in my opinion, and made in manageable for us vertically challenged guys.
Since I am butchering it up can do whatever is necessary to make an airbox work so that is not a problem, but would this adversely affect anything?
