Mikuni carby no pilot air screw ?
« on: February 24, 2009, 03:00:44 am »
I bought a bike and it came with a Mikuni flat slide carby.
But it has no pilot air screw. It has the boss where the screw would normally go on the air side but its just solid alli . Its not been filled in. Its part of the carb. No hole or thread.

I just can't seem to find any info on google.

Has anyone got any info on what this carb model is and how you tune it.

To me it just looks like a bog standard flat slim TM carb. Its not a pumper or anything like that.

It does have a removable pilot jet.

Most TM's in that series have no idle air screw(not had that much experience with series), pilot jet is as per normal. Idle air is metered by the cutaway, there could be an air corrector in the front of the carb somewhere.Pics? You tune it the same as any other carb.
