Indian motor
« on: February 08, 2009, 10:57:44 pm »
A good mate of mine has the classic "we found it in the back of Grand-dad's shed after he died" story - they found an old Indian V-twin engine (his grand-father was into bike powered open wheel race cars back in the day).

We all figured that it had to be worth something, but had no idea how much.
So his missus slapped it up on Ebay earlier today, with a $600 starting bid.

After 5 hours: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270341618304&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DSelling
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

This ones a little bit special  ;) Of all Indian engines to have laying around the old boy picked the right one to store away  ;D. 26 scout engine in with gearbox, maggy and carb only sold for $1600 just recently on ebay after its third listing. This engine is a whole different ball game.  8)
